Compensation and benefits packages include:
- Annual salary (hiring range): $70,000 - $75,000, plus annual Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) bonus.
- Health Benefits Plan, including Extended Health, Dental & Vision coverage, Basic Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Benefits and Employee Assistance Programs. Premiums are paid by the company with the exception of LTD premium.
- Defined benefit pension plan, with the company’s contribution ranging from 6% to 8% to provide employees with a predictable lifetime retirement income, survivor benefits, and early retirement options.
- Hybrid work environment consisting of 2 days in the office for those who live within 50km of our Head Office. Remote arrangements can be made for those living farther away, with some exceptions.

About the Role
As the Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for the planning, development, execution, and analysis of multi-channel marketing communications strategies to increase brand awareness and generate leads. You'll also be responsible for managing and optimizing Educators' website, landing pages, and social media channels. You will report to the Manager, Marketing Communications & Branding.
Key responsibilities include:
Multi-channel (digital, social, print) brand awareness and lead generation campaign planning, development, execution, and optimization, including
- Acting as the subject matter expert (SME) on all digital campaigns.
- Leading the planning, development and execution (i.e. creative development, review, proofreading, testing) of all digital and social media campaigns.
- Managing the day-to-day of digital campaigns including budget and agency management.
- Analyzing campaign data and obtaining actionable insights to optimize each campaign’s performance.
Social media & eNews management, including
- Leading, developing, and implementing social media strategies.
- Planning (i.e. content themes), developing (i.e. content creation and editing), and executing the monthly social media calendar and email newsletter (eNews).
- Executing on all social media initiatives and activities including video development and production.
Digital properties management, including
- Managing and maintaining Educators Financial Group's website, ensuring that it is functional, user-friendly, and up-to-date. This includes creating new landing pages, maintaining and updating website content, monitoring and optimizing website performance, and managing the site’s functionality and appearance.
- Acting as the User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) SME for the company website, all associated landing pages/forms, and the client portal in Salesforce.
- Continuously identifying and implementing optimizations and improvements to ensure website design and content meet brand standard guidelines, web accessibility requirements, user experience design principles, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices.
- Acting as the web accessibility SME, ensuring Educators' website and client portal meet and maintain AODA WCAG 2.0 AA guidelines.
- Serving as primary liaison between internal stakeholders and the website vendor for updates, outages, troubleshooting, software upgrades, and scheduled website design changes.
Affiliate marketing program management, including
- Developing, implementing, and managing all digital aspects of the affiliate marketing program to drive traffic, leads, and new clients.
- Monitoring and assessing program metrics, regularly reporting on KPIs to determine the program’s impact on sales and ROI.
- Working collaboratively with external partners to implement strategies to optimize program.
Measurement analysis, including
- Conducting regular analysis and reporting for lead generating initiatives and multi-channel campaigns; overseeing social media, eNews and website activities using vendor dashboard and internal statistics.
- Leading regular review meetings with vendors to track campaign and website performance effectiveness, addressing any gaps and optimizing performance.
- Utilizing various web analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to interpret website data and user behavior, providing recommendations to stakeholders for future campaign optimization.
Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in Business, Commerce or Marketing.
- 5 years’ experience in a creative marketing environment, with a focus on digital marketing, social media and website management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical background including experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, GTM, and HTML (all intermediate level).
- Excellent computer skills including experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for design.
- Excellent project management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager and Hootsuite.
- Knowledge of Salesforce (Financial Services Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud) would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator would be considered an asset.
- Must have knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.
