Compensation and benefits packages include:
- Annual salary (hiring range): $62,000 - $70,000, plus annual Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) bonus.
- Health Benefits Plan, including Extended Health, Dental & Vision coverage, Basic Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Benefits and Employee Assistance Programs. Premiums are paid by the company, with the exception of LTD premium.
- Defined benefit pension plan, with the company’s contribution ranging from 6% to 8% to provide employees with a predictable lifetime retirement income, survivor benefits, early retirement options.
- Hybrid work environment/2 days in the office for those who live within 50km of our Head Office. Remote arrangements can be made for those living farther away, with some exceptions.

About the Role
As a Financial Advisor working from Educators’ head office and/or home, you will take inbound calls and make outbound calls to manage the relationships with current clients, using your knowledge of the product offerings to provide additional value and grow the share of assets held by Educators Financial Group. In addition, you will provide lending referrals to our Lending Services team. The position will report to the Manager, Financial Advisor Team.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing meaningful relationships with clients and becoming their trusted Financial Advisor.
- Retaining and growing share of wallet by delivering personalized financial solutions and advice.
- Preparing client asset allocation proposals and modular financial planning projections.
- Responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Representing Educators Financial Group at workshops, trade shows, seminars and events.
- Collaborating with other members of the team to engage in the entire business development process, reviewing and adapting plans according to results and changing markets.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (a college diploma or university degree).
- Valid Mutual Funds certification (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
- Holding or working towards the PFP (Personal Financial Planner) designation and encouraged to further pursue the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Financial Advisor, supported by demonstrated results.
- Experience in preparing and presenting financial plans to clients would be an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills in managing client partnerships, proven ability to engage and nurture long-term relationships.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in French would be an asset.
- Computer literacy (MS Office suite).
- Skilled at self-directed work, maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness while handling multiple priorities.
